Goodreads is so pretty though. Librarything sucks, you have to pay after 199 books whereas on Goodreads it's all free. Plus Goodreads is just easier to use as you can separate it into read, to read and currently reading, regardless of whether or not you own the book. Librarything is for books you own & to show off your library.
I had no idea you had a separate book journal, I'm subscribing. I gave up on The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms halfway through as I couldn't see the point and I was bored (see what I mean when I say it's hard for me to find books I like? I'm really picky)
I was aware of the 50 books by authors of colour you mention though people mostly seem to be interested in genres I'm not really interested in so it's not a very useful resource for me.
Read Frankie. It sounds a bit like Fly on the Wall from your description of it but Frankie was just. Wow wow wow what is this and why didn't I read it sooner.
Is your favourite Fire & Hemlock? Fantasy is very hit-or-miss for me and a lot of people recommend fantasy to me they've read when they were much younger and haven't read since and I generally don't end up enjoying the book, most of the reviews on Goodreads for Fire & Hemlock were all 'I read this book many years ago and' and I was all 'yeah okay, moving on' but maybe you can convince me?
